Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for a new challenge? Are you well versed in SRA and compliance? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!Our Farnborough based client are looking for a fantastic Legal Cashier to join their friendly Finance Team. They are looking for a great communicator who has good knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal compliance. As a Legal Cashier you will be vital to the smooth running of the firm and support both the account department and the fee earners.You will be based in their stunning offices in Farnborough working 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on a Friday. The salary for this Legal Cashier role will be up to £27,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus.Main responsibilities for the Legal Cashier role:
- Maintain and reconcile client and office accounts.
- Process client payments, including cheques, electronic transfers, and card payments.
- Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules in all client account transactions.
- Handle banking duties, including deposits and withdrawals.
- Prepare and process bank reconciliations for all accounts.
- Generate financial reports, including cash flow and balance sheets.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Assist fee earners and support staff with account queries.
Skills required for the Legal Cashier role:
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and legal financial compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., LEAP, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
