, PolandJob Family Group: Legal JobsWorker Type: RegularPosting Start Date:Business unit:Experience Level: Experienced ProfessionalsJob Description:About the role: The Legal Counsel Supply Chain position is part of the Legal Services Global Operations legal team, supporting the Supply Chain (SC) organization and reporting to the Managing Counsel Supply Chain (MC SC). As a Legal Counsel, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal support to the SC organization, ensuring that legal compliance aligns with business outcomes. You will be working closely with the SC organization to implement effective ways of working and providing legal support for efficient business delivery.The SC organization manages 27,000 active contracts and 42,000 suppliers, with a third-party spend of approximately USD42 billion per year. The SC legal team supports this global business, requiring flexibility and collaboration with other legal departments and business units.Legal Counsel role requires a professional, fast-learning, and enthusiastic lawyer with a strong interest in Supply Chain and general commercial law. Experience in a global or regional role providing timely and practical legal advice is beneficial, as you’ll work with central and local SC teams on various legal matters, including contract negotiations, procurement of goods and services, and compliance with local regulations.Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and fit-for-purpose legal advice, including:
- Advising on proposed commercial strategies.
- Advising on legal rights and obligations under existing contractual arrangements.
- Negotiating and drafting contracts and other documentation.
- Resolving legal and business problems to protect business interests and assets.
- Ensure legal considerations, including risk mitigation, are integrated into operations, planning, and contracting activities.
- Monitor legal developments and communicate relevant updates to the business.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Deliver training to SC teams on contract skills and develop training materials for more efficient legal support.
- Contribute to team initiatives focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the application of IT and digital tools.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and compliant behavior, promoting E&C and DEI.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Law degree or professional legal qualification and entitlement to practice in Poland.
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders with diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent business acumen, risk assessment ability, and capability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilience to maintain a robust stance on risk allocation while balancing commercial and strategic drivers.
- Experience in delivering training to diverse audiences.
- High levels of collaboration and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
