We aim to be exceptional, both in the way we work and in the combination of our services.We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join a friendly and supportive team of four to help support the continued growth in our busy Employment & Immigration team. The successful individual will be somebody that has good organisational skills and is willing to ‘roll up their sleeves’ and get stuck in with the day-to-day challenges a busy and successful Employment & Immigration team presents.In short, as a Legal Secretary at Capital Law you’ll play a vital role in providing full secretarial, PA and administrative support to a team of fee earners.Working within the Employment and Immigration teamOur Employment and Immigration team is approachable, alert, creative, and rewarding to work with.We handle all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, collective and individual. Our lawyers have niche expertise in business immigration, as well as extensive experience in equality and diversity, data protection, employee investigations, and mediation.Our team also has a strong reputation for high-profile, complex and sensitive employment litigation.RequirementsResponsibilities:The below duties are some of the day-to-day responsibilities
- Assist in maintenance of all aspects of client files, from inception to closure
- Preparation and formatting of correspondence and documents
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic filing
- Coordination of client billing
- Financial housekeeping of client files
- Audio and copy typing
- Manage emails/correspondence, calls and enquiries
- Photocopying and scanning documents
- Diary management, organising meetings, facilitating travel and accommodation
- Ad-hoc administrative tasks, as and when required
You will ideally need the following:
- Secretarial / administrative experience
- Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Commitment to proving excellent service
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritise a high- volume workload and work to deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing requirements and see opportunities for improvement
- Flexible ‘can do’ approach with the ability to work proactively, use own initiative and offer solutions
- Team-focus with a flexible and collaborative approach to working with others, but also able to work alone.
- Confidence to communicate with all levels in order to manage expectations and maintain effective working relationships.
