The Logistics Assistant will support Oxfam’s work in areas of Supply and Logistics for all the four pillars. The other purpose of this role is to perform a varied range of tasks within the department from time to time. Tasks for this post are usually routine but will require the use of initiative and/or basic planning.

 

 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

 

·     Diploma in Supply Chain management, Logistics, Procurement or its equivalent

·     Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in related field

·     Able to organise own work with minimum supervision.

·     Good communication skills.

·     Competency in use of Microsoft office packages including word, powerpoint and excel.

·     Technically competent in specified areas.

·     Demonstrates initiative in all aspects of work.

·     Produces quality work with little requirement for upward referral.

·     Assumes responsibility for the organisation work.

·     Demonstrates ability to manage own time and oversee basic processes. Excels in relevant areas of technical competence.

·     Demonstrates appropriate written and verbal communication skills.

·     Willing and able to offer support to other departments.

·     Computer skills
