Job Summary:The Logistics Operations Specialist will provide operational support to ensure the smooth execution of logistics activities for the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Tessenderlo, Belgium. Reporting to the Logistics Manager RDC EMEA, this role focuses on operational tasks, data analysis, and compliance to support daily operations in line with the company’s strategic objectives defined by HQ leadership.Key Responsibilities:Operational Execution:
- Support inbound, storage, picking, VAS, packing, palletizing, and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
- Support inventory management tasks, stock counts, system and physical discrepancy resolutions.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze operational performance, including KPIs, cost metrics, and service level adherence.
- Provide timely regular updates and insights to the Logistics Manager for reporting to HQ leadership.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation for customs processes, inventory records, and logistics procedures.
- Ensure that all operational activities comply with local and international regulations.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Logistics Manager, 3PL providers, and other stakeholders to resolve day-to-day challenges.
- Coordinate with HQ-based teams (e.g., supply chain and controlling) as needed for data alignment and compliance requirements.
- IT and Operations Teams: Support the use and maintenance of logistics systems, tools, and software.
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Assist in implementing approved changes in logistics processes and systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, dashboards).
- Hands-on experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proactive attitude with a continuous improvement and growth mindset.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain environment (internships or entry-level roles also considered).
- Exposure to project coordination or participation in cross-functional improvement initiatives is an advantage.
- Exposure to working with third-party logistics providers and international logistics is a plus.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably within a multinational setting.
