CREGG are currently hiring a Machine Operator for our manufacturing client in Ballincollig, Cork.This Machine Operator will have worked in a factory setting and Light Engineering experience.Full time permanent position with a 3-6-month probation period, Permanency.Monday to Friday day shift hours –

• Monday – Thursday (8am to 4.30pm) • Friday (8am to 3.30pm)

Salary – €14.00 – €14.50 hr

• Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
• Experience working with saws and measuring of products
• Ability to follow SOP’s loading and unloading machinery.
• Experience in reading drawings/ schematics.
• Knowledge and understanding of high health and safety regulations – Highly important
• Excellent teamwork ability.
• Previous experience in a factory setting and Light Engineering beneficial.
• Comfortable communicating and completing paperwork in the English language.
• Flexible for overtime.
• Self-Awareness

Job description:

• Working in a busy environment as a Beam saw Operator
• Manages the operation of beam saw machines, ensuring precision in cutting materials
• according to specifications along with your team lead.
• Responsibilities include machine setup, maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Working within a clean factory environment where PPE is provided by the company (Boots, Gloves and Glasses)
• Adjust saw blades, speed, and feed rates as needed for different materials
• Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Keep accurate records of materials used and production output
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
