Learn more at and on and .The Team:The Intrinsic Reliability (iRel) Group is responsible for ensuring Product/Process Lifetime Robustness. This is achieved by investigating the intrinsic reliability of semiconductor devices/circuits and sensors. The iRel Group is made of up of a range of engineering disciplines including electronics, physics and mathematics. The group is split across three locations namely, ADLK (Limerick, Ireland), ADWL (Boston, MA) and ADSV (San Jose, CA). The successful candidate will reside in ADLK.The Position:The iRel Group is seeking a motivated individual to fulfil a role as a Magnetics Reliability Engineer. As a Magnetics Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the characterization and de-risking of magnetoresistance sensors currently being developed at ADI. Magnetic position sensing is a growing market globally, with key markets being industrial automation and automotive. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a cross functional Quality, Process Development and Product Development team on one of ADI’s most exciting new technologies.Key Responsibilities:

  • Sensor characterization plan development
  • Provide guidance to the team with regards to sensor physics of failure and how they can be evaluated
  • Co-ordinating project priorities with the iRel and wider teams
  • Establish a long-term strategy to support the development and characterization of future sensors and their needs
  • Keep track of state of art in magnetics technology reliability, failure modes and ageing

Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc and relevant experience in Magnetics/Magnetoresistance Sensors, Spintronics or Physics
  • Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential coupled with a demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred but not a prerequisite
  • Experience in reliability engineering is an advantage
