IDT is creating trusted identities for IoT applications through Smart Components and Enabling Services.

As our Maintenance and Mechanical Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Designing equipment or upgrades to enable production of new products being introduced into HID’s pilot line or mass production line.
  • Writing and further enhancing equipment automation programs.
  • Supporting some RFID readers or reading stations development projects by handling mechanical design and ensuring their manufacturability and cost competitiveness.
  • Working on continuous improvement, savings, or RFID tagging enablement projects involving equipment by proposing, developing, and implementing designs and working with partners/suppliers.
  • Executing maintenance of equipment by implementing, enhancing and following preventive maintenance plans based on vendors recommendations, analysis of the historical results and risk assessments.
  • Repairing faulty equipment by troubleshooting and executing curative actions.
  • Maintaining spare parts inventories and related strategy per equipment.
  • Maintaining and continuously developing spare part vendor network and sourcing options by working closely with supply chain.
  • Writing and maintaining documentation associated with equipment functions, use and maintenance.

What we will love about your background: 

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc. 
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with programming Automation software.
  • Familiar with SOLIDWORKS.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, proactive, and committed.
  • Strong teamwork skill.
  • An industrial mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, providing input and feedback in a helpful manner.

Your Experience and Education include: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Masters’ in a related field.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Multi disciplinary know how : mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, automation.
