It’s a chance to make a real difference.We are now recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. This full-time role will be covering evening shift (4pm-12pm), with the initial 6 months training taking place on day shift. Your responsibilities will include: carry out planned/unplanned maintenance across robotic packaging, aseptic manufacturing and filling in Westport, Co. Mayo.In this role you will work as part of a strong multi-disciplined team of Fitters, Electricians, Process and Reliability Engineers. We have a strong emphasis on identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiency.   • Carry out planned/unplanned maintenance on manufacturing, filling and packaging equipment, using a Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) approach.
  • Troubleshooting and fault finding of automatic, semi-automatic and batch manufacturing equipment, optimizing operation by Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) techniques. Ensure all equipment is repaired to the highest standards.
  • Support equipment projects from design to install.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies and compliance to all site Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training and regulations.
  • Assist with ‘On Call’ duties. Maintain up to date Training through eLMS.
  • Prompt updates to SAP system controlling reordering of stock parts.
  • Engage with vendors and parts suppliers to source non stock parts.
  • Responsible for filling out plant downtime notification on SAP for all instances of plant downtime. Report to include time down, corrective action, preventative action going forward and parts used.

QualificationsSo, what do you need to do this role?Education and preferred experience:

  • National Craft Senior Trades Fitter qualification is essential to be considered for this job.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a highly-automated production environment – experience in an aseptic, pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is an advantage
  • Clear understanding and experience of maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical , instrumentation and automation systems.
  • Experience working with Maintenance management systems to manage maintenance requisitions and spare parts control is desirable
  • Willingness to work on set shift pattern as required.
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills are essential for this job.
