The main purpose of this role is to provide overall leadership and direction to the Bids, Tenders and Contracts organization with an ability to analyze, develop tender strategies and handle tenders and contracts with customers and commercial partners while ensuring quality and legal compliance.

You will make an impact by:

  • Effectively managing a cross-country team towards a common goal in line with company strategy

  • Being accountable for productivity and quality metrics of staff, and providing regular standard progress reports and quality metrics to management and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Closing partnership with the business; sharing data, leveraging solutions and best practices across BUs

  • Performing Tender identification and assessment

  • Performing Tender submission, outcome analysis and full contract lifecycle management

  • Representing Bids, Tenders and Contracts department on regional projects with medium complexity; Exploring alternative models, system and tools efficiency and continuous process improvements

  • Defining and leading the implementation of key strategies in collaboration with senior leadership

  • Performing routine and ad-hoc data analysis and generating reports

  • Responding to inquiries and requests from stakeholders and resolving issues with some complexity

  • Being responsible for internal/external audits for B&T; cooperation with auditor; development of risk mitigation strategies

  • Other incidental duties as assigned by Leadership

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and min. 2 – 3 years of related experience in tender and contract management required

  • 2 – 3 years of experience in people management

  • Experience working in a regulated industry highly preferred

  • Fluent English and French required, Dutch highly preferred

  • Proven successful project management skills and expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills

  • Knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to offer management

  • Demonstrated ability to manage team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of B&T to the business

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization, ability to influence

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
