Global Wholesale Operations (GWO)

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager to join our Global Wholesale Operations team in Dublin. In this role, you will contribute to the success of Scotiabank’s European Operational Control function by leading regulatory reporting activities across multiple regimes. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring our processes meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements across BNS London and SIDAC entities.

The successful candidate will drive the development and governance of regulatory frameworks, lead the reporting cycle, and collaborate globally to ensure best practices are adopted across the Bank.

What You’ll Do:

•            Manage regulatory trade and transaction reporting for SFTR, Secured Money Market (SMM), and German Primary Dealer regimes.

•            Own the end-to-end regulatory reporting lifecycle for BNS London and SIDAC entities, including reporting production schedules, SOP validation, attestation, and issue escalation.

•            Build out the governance framework and controls for all regulatory reporting regimes processed in Europe.

•            Oversee the monthly TTRC pack and reporting cycle, including issue tracking and resolution.

•            Liaise with regulatory technology, compliance, and business stakeholders to support ongoing regulatory initiatives.

•            Provide audit support and coordinate responses to regulatory requests.

•            Standardise regulatory reporting metrics and MIS dashboards across European entities.

•            Ensure day-to-day operational adherence to regulatory requirements across risk, AML, and compliance frameworks.

•            Represent the team in internal and external forums, providing subject matter expertise on European trade and transaction reporting.

What You’ll Bring:

•            Strong knowledge of front, middle, and back-office operations and the regulatory components of each.

•            Demonstrated understanding of industry standards and regulatory frameworks, including MIFID II (PTTR & RTR), EMIR, and SFTR.

•            Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for engaging with senior stakeholders.

•            Excellent time management, organisation, and project delivery skills.

•            Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in Excel is essential.

•            Experience working in a global banking environment, with exposure to compliance, operations, and regulatory reporting processes.

•            A customer-focused mindset and collaborative approach to building cross-functional relationships.

What We Offer:

•            The opportunity to work for a leading global financial institution with an inclusive and high-performing work culture.

•            Exposure to high-impact regulatory initiatives with regional and global reach.

•            A collaborative team environment that supports innovation and continuous improvement.

•            Access to internal training, development programmes, and leadership opportunities.

•            A comprehensive total compensation package including a competitive bonus.

•            Private Health Insurance (fully covered by the Bank).

•            Private Dental Insurance – part funded by the Bank.

•            A Competitive Group Pension Plan.

•            A flexible work/life balance environment.

•            Inclusive Culture – Join a team that values diverse thinking and invests in your personal and professional growth.
