We have an exciting opportunity to lead a team within our highly respected Reporting & Performance Analysis (“R&PA”) wider team, overseeing all of the reporting and performance analysis processes for one of CRH’s business segments and working with senior stakeholders across a range of teams in CRH Group, CRH Divisional offices and the operations.
The R&PA team forms part of the CRH Group Finance function, is a high performing team and a valued business partner that leads a number of key internal and external reporting processes including monthly Board and management reporting, financial planning and analysis, forecast and annual Budget; the team also prepares quarterly briefing materials to support external results announcements and business performance related sections (incl. MD&A) of the 10-Q/10-K. The wider R&PA team is divided up into four sub teams, each of which has ownership for specific processes and deliverables and is the central liaison for a business segment. Hybrid working at present, with the team ordinarily based at Group HQ in Stonemasons Way, Dublin.
In this role, you would have ownership for overall Group budget process and deliverables, and you would act as the team lead for all processes for the business segment (e.g. monthly Board report, briefing notes, relevant part of the 10-Q/10-K).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Planning of key processes and resources, and responsible for:
-Annual Budget reporting process for CRH Group including review and ownership of the related outputs (the preliminary budget results, final budget book, Senior Management and Board presentations );
-Monthly Board and management reporting for the relevant segment, including review of their key performance metrics, and also Acquisitions, Divestments and Capital Expenditure reporting;
-During external reporting cycles, review and ownership of the section of the Briefing Notes that relates to the relevant segment at quarter end and year end;
-Review of financial reporting notes as part of the quarterly financial reporting process;
-Review and ownership of the relevant sections of the 10-Q/10-K;
-Provide support to the R&PA analysts/senior analysts/assistant managers on reporting issues that arise and be proactive in identifying and resolving reporting issues;
-Lead and coach the analysts/senior analysts/AM’s, and work closely with the wider R&PA team;
-Build a strong relationship with our colleagues in the Divisional offices and the operations, and provide regular support to them on reporting and other issues;
-Strive for continuous improvements in the processes and deliverables;
-Provide ad hoc support to senior management as needed.
Your Key Attributes/Competencies:
-Team player with ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team;
-Demonstrates integrity and trust, with ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality;
-Self-motivated, high degree of initiative and comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced environment;
-Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with senior management;
-Demonstrated track record of relevant management skills;
-Strong financial and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail;
-Flexibility and ability to multitask within tight deadlines;
Your Educational Background and Experience:
-Professional qualification (ACA, CFA or equivalent), with minimum 8 years PQE;
-Experience in FP&A and management or financial reporting would be essential;
-Experience with Hyperion systems would be an important advantage;
-Experience in leading and building a high performing and inclusive team;
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
