About the role
We are looking for a Marketing Manager for our Consumer Goods Business Unit who will lead the entire category of Consumer Tissue (Bathroom Tissue (Dry and Moist), Household towels and Hankies and Facials for the region South-West Europe (France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Portugal). You will be reporting to the Marketing Director Consumer Goods EMEA South-West.
The role will be responsible for leading the strategy for the total Consumer Tissue category and brands in region South West, developing and implementing marketing plans in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Portugal and will manage 3 Direct Reports (Lead of Consumer Tissue FR/BE, Lead of Consumer Tissue Iberia and Brand Manager Tempo Italy) with full team of 8 people (4 in France, 1 in Italy and 3 in Iberia (based in Spain).

You will develop and implement marketing plan and activities to activate agreed global and local and/or BU marketing, brand, channel and/or product strategies and plans for total Consumer Tissue brands in the region South-West. Has overall responsibility for assigned Consumer Tissue brands within multiple sub-categories, products or channel, leading the interface to Global and/or BU stakeholders and driving overall Consumer Tissue strategy for the brands and countries in the South-West region and leading new product launches for this area of responsibility.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to the local development work related to the assigned brands, product category or channel (including active drive and participation in the local new product development and innovation).
- Develop, manage and implement marketing plan and activities for assigned brands / channels and products for total Consumer Tissue brands (Umbrella brand and Specialist brands) in line with global and/or BU guidelines.
- Manage assigned A&P budget and allocate to different marketing activities.
- Adapt brand, channel and/or product marketing communication material across channels and products to local requirements to secure efficient and effective communication for each market activity.
- Lead and develop Team of Direct reports and their teams.
- Manage product launch process according to agreed plan and within assigned budget for area of responsibility.
- Ensure accurate logistic forecast for Consumer Tissue brands on country, channel and product level for product launches, and also take active part in the regular S&OP process
- Develop and implement promotions and corresponding support materials in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Ensure collection of market/brand/product/channel related insights and share them with relevant parties (global, BU and/or local).
Who You Are
- University degree, preferably in Marketing or Business Administration
- Strong Brand Marketing experience in international FMCG companies with B2C focus (min. 10-15 years), ideally managing multiple brands or brands across geographies.
- Strong Team Leadership skills and experience of managing team members directly and in-directly/remotely.
- Experience in Trade/Shopper Marketing and/or Sales is an advantage.
- Fluent in English, any other relevant European language is an advantage (especially Italian and Spanish).
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, knowing what is relevant for the stakeholders and being able to provide it in an understandable way
- Having successfully achieved results via cooperation in a matrix organization.
- Experience in working closely with Product development teams and factories.
- Working successfully in teams showing a can-do attitude and courage to do things differently.
- You have strong collaboration and leadership skills, and you are not afraid to challenge and experiment.
- Exceptional strategic and holistic thinking skills
