Job description

SSA are working with a Market-Leading M&E Contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team in Dublin.This company is currently working on multiple major Pharmaceutical and Industrial Manufacturing facility projects in the Greater Dublin region and are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee these projects.You will review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, while overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to successfully deliver cutting edge projects

• Ability to determine project schedule needs, provide support in the completion of project schedule, 12 weeks look aheads, reporting on site progress and highlighting future issues / roadblocks to progress to Main Contractor / Companies contracts manager.
• Conduct regular safety walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
• Conduct regular quality walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
• Lead commissioning activities ensuring timely completion and reporting of roadblock and follow up to ensure prompt closure.

Skills and Requirements

• Mechanical trade or Engineering background essential
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Excellent communication and organisation skills required
• Excellent IT skills required – MS Office/Excel
• A knowledge of database systems such as file maker would be advantageous
