Why do we need you ?

Main responsibilities:

Reporting to the Line & Utilities Engineering Manager, you carry out process engineering studies, ranging from the fiberizing to the inlet of the curing, for Isover factories around the world, and you are the referent for these stages of the process.

Design / Studies / Project management

  • Propose the best technologies based on technical-economic analyses;
  • Develop project specifications (planning, budget, performance, safety, etc.) with stakeholders;
  • Write technical specifications for equipment;
  • Lead design reviews with internal clients;
  • Monitor interfaces with other trades: upstream & downstream processes, civil engineering, utilities;
  • Coordinate detailed studies internally and externally, according to current standards

Purchasing / Construction / Start-up

  • Support central technical buyers, from calls for tenders to commissioning and start-up;
  • Support the teams responsible for construction and start-up

Improve tools, knowhow and skills

  • Develop tools and methods;
  • Improve the technical solutions available to reduce the cost price and the carbon footprint of the process

Is this job for you ?

Mechanical or general engineer, you have proven experience of at least five years in an engineering company or in the continuous fibre industry. You have theoretical knowledge, operational experience in project and/or operational management as well as excellent interpersonal skills which allow you to respond to strategic and operational challenges.

Given the specialised knowledge required for the job, a thorough training programme will be part of the employment process.

The mechanical engineer specialized in Forming/Fiberizing equipment will provide engineering expertise and support to Saint Gobain Isover industrial investment projects. The position is based at the Technical headquarter in Rantigny (France) and can be combined with a balanced homeworking. Travel is expected to be about 15% of the time in average.

Competencies and experiences:

Autonomous, rigorous, your sense of responsibility, your interpersonal skills and your ability to integrate into a multicultural environment will allow you to successfully carry out your projects. This position requires regular travel in France and internationally.

Fluent English. Fluency in a 2nd language (French or other) is a plus.
