In this role, you will play a pivotal part in planning, managing, and crafting clear, concise, and audience-friendly scientific and medical publications, including conference abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and manuscripts for peer-reviewed medical journals. You will have the chance to participate in congresses, support business needs, and demonstrate the values that are important to our team.   • First and foremost, writing medical publications and communications.
  • Planning, managing, and writing clear, concise, and impactful medical publications.
  • Providing expertise and support in Good Publication Practice, adhering to international standards and guidelines.
  • Leading and managing the preparation of publications in cross-functional teams.
  • Overseeing publication plans and medical writing for assigned studies.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to deliver high-quality and impactful publications.
  • Ensuring accuracy in publication plans and materials.
  • Contributing to conference and journal submissions, meeting all requirements and timelines.
  • Driving standardization, process improvements, and departmental development activities.

Your QualificationsIn this role, you will use your strong scientific writing skills to create clear and concise materials for a variety of audiences, including researchers, healthcare professionals, and patients. You will also have the chance to use your creativity by developing engaging content, such as research articles, patient-friendly summaries, and eye-catching infographics for conferences. We are looking for someone who can explain complex scientific information in a way that is easy to understand and interesting for different readers.To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A passion for writing.
  • A university degree in life sciences, biological sciences, chemistry, or related fields (MSc, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Research experience (e.g., PhD, research fellow) and a proven track record in writing scientific publications.
  • Knowledge of good publication practices, clinical development, and health economic outcomes research.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong skills in data analysis, interpretation, communication, and interpersonal relations.
  • Expertise in planning, structuring, and writing audience-friendly scientific publications.

The ideal candidate demonstrates creativity in developing publications, whether through crafting clear and compelling journal articles or designing visually striking conference posters. A passion for exploring innovative methods to share scientific information, such as producing short videos or creating interactive graphics to engage a broader audience, is highly valued.Your teamThis is a newly created role in the global publications team which is part of the global strategic evidence and communications team and works on the development and dissemination of scientific data.
