Medical Science Liaison – North ItalyLocation: North Italy – Ideally Milan regionDepartment: Medical AffairsJob type: PermanentThe Medical Science Liaison will cover the operational area of Northern Italy – Piemonte, Lombardia, Liguria, Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna. Preferred place of residency is Milan area.We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Medical Science Liaison Manager for the North of Italy. This position will play a pivotal role in KOL management and supporting Medical projects within our organisation for our new groundbreaking innovative drug in infectious diseases specialty care therapeutic area.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop HCP list including key external experts (KEEs), territory coverage plan and build external engagement plans.Share emerging on-label data or disease information with HCPs, discussing all aspects of the data in a scientific, objective and balanced way.Work with KEEs/HCPs as partners in scientific activities that help advance disease understanding such as: Identify potential speakers and review scientific data to prepare them, if appropriate Interact with the medical community in the context of various medical projects, such as clinical trials, investigator-initiated trials (IITs), scientific exchange meetings etc.Provide non-promotional scientific support to other company activities (i.e. hospital formulary listing/payer activities/speaker training meetings).Respond to unsolicited requests for information about Mundipharma products, including products in development, in a timely, objective and scientifically balanced manner.Integrate scientific knowledge with insights from scientific interactions with HCPs and provide the Mundipharma organization with an understanding of the local medical community, clinical practice trends and real or perceived gaps in current scientific knowledge and medical treatment and product data.Where applicable, provide medical and scientific expertise in the brand/therapy area to internal stakeholders, including conduct of therapeutic area and product training to commercial colleagues.Remain abreast of the latest scientific knowledge and developments in defined domains of expertise, including by means of participation in structured training programs.Knowledge and SkillsProven experience as an MSL or in medical affairsPrevious experience in the Anti-Infectives / Infectious Disease therapeutic area would be advantageousStrong communication skills.High level of written and spoken English & Fluency in Italian.Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, drug prescription process and prescription drugs distribution process in Italy with demonstrated ability to work in multiple therapeutic areas and apply learnings to new, innovative areas.Strong analytical, consulting, and business planning skills.Proven ability to manage budgets and incentive programs.Strategic and commercial acumen.Business relationship management skills – working with cross functional teams & stakeholders without positional authority while building trust and evoke influenceGood knowledge and practical experience in new technologies and digital channels.High ethical standards and personal integrityDiversity and inclusionBuilding an inclusive environment where people can thrive, grow and achieve their full potential is a priority.
