**First Year Apprentice Vacancy** Larry Byrne Engineering Ltd are currently looking for one Larry Byrne Engineering Ltd are currently looking for one candidateto enrol in our apprenticeship program. This is a full time position and is based in New Ross, Co. Wexford. About the Company Larry Byrne Engineering Ltd is a leading engineering company who specialize in the design and manufacturing and repairs of livestock bodies, drag trailers and all commercial bodies. We are a small company with eight staff, working together. Apprenticeship Program Larry Byrne Engineering Ltd we offer a wide range of training programmes, working on different machinery, vehicles, and plants. The apprenticeship consists of four on the job phases with Larry Byrne Engineering Ltd and three of the job phases in an educational organisation. Apprentices will be invited to attend their off-the job training phases in accordancewith the Solas scheduling system. What is a Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitter The work of the Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitter involves machinery installation, machinery assembly, maintenance and repair, replacement of broken or worn parts, adjustment, and servicing. The work also involves fabrication, using machine tools i.e. Lathe, milling machine, grinders etc.. All MAMF apprentices will be trained in the following: Working with a variety of specialised tools – lathe, milling machine, grinders Working with drilling and milling machines and welding plants Working on complex hydraulic systems Interpreting technical drawings Assembling new machinery Dismantling, Repair/Make & Fitting of new parts Machine Wiring Electrical machine components installation Report writing of completed work PAY We pay all our apprentices the recommended wage by the ETB. Review it after 6months. ( A well-adjusted candidate will be offered above the recommended wage) A training allowance is paid by the local ETB while the apprentice is attending the off-the job training. Requirement Junior certificate must be completed Must be 16 years old or older No experience required Good communication skills Ability to work as part of a team to enroll in our apprenticeship program. The work also involve using machine tools and hand tools. All Metal Fabrication apprentices will be trained in the following: Working with a variety of specialised tools Working with drilling, milling machine and welding plants Measuring, cutting and bending Interpreting technical drawings – CAD training Report writing of completed work **PAY** Larry Byrne Engineering Ltd we pay all our apprentices the recommended wage by the ETB.
