Overview of the Department/Section
The Operations Department is responsible for managing the operations performed in Paris but also for monitoring the relationship with EOD EMEA as for the Hub and spoke process (Paris operations outsourced in London). And Operation Department is handling and keeping customers’ important documents. This department comprises 3 sub departments:
- Business Operations Team
- Customer team
- Quality Assurance Team
Main Purpose of the Role
Part of the Operations Department, the Customer Team is responsible for the intermediaries role of operations such as Loan, Term Deposit, Customer Profiles and KYC to ensure full compliance with the Banking Industry and regulatory and legal frameworks. The team acts as an important link between the Front Office, the market, customers and various back office areas and is key to ensuring transactions are correct matched and risk accessed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Department head for the good function of the team.
- Support and verify for the operations of customer Team encompassing loans, Term Deposits, and updating customer profiles, KYC.
- To liaise with customers & other departments to answer customer inquiries or in case of investigations
- Provide good service level to MUFG customers
- Support the Front offices on new products implementation (set up of the flow and coordination of all concerned depts)
- Actively liaise with Department Head to support any project that involved the department.
- Report to Department Head any issue or incident happened in the department.
- Ensure that the procedures in accordance with the requirement from MUFG and relevant local laws to the department are fully accomplished.
- Collaborate closely with the Front teams, Hub and Spoke and others departments to ensure high level of standards are achieved and files compliant with Bank but also legal and regulatory framework
Work Experience
- Significant banking exposure in Middle office role (5 years +)
Skills and Experience
Functional / Technical Competencies:
- Excellent problem solving skills with a good attention to detail & accuracy
- Excellent Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal, English & French)
- Good knowledge of common operations (SEPA, SWIFT, checks, loans, Term Deposits etc)
- Good knowledge of French and International Settlement scheme, Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel is essential for the role. MS Word & power point are beneficial (preferred)
Education / Qualifications:
- University Degree and/or equivalent experience.
