and leadership skills with significant experience in building, shaping and motivating teams and
leading programmes.

Modeshift is a not-for-profit membership organisation that exists to increase levels of active
and sustainable travel in business, education and community settings.
Modeshift STARS empowers organisations by providing a centre of excellence for developing,
delivering and monitoring effective Travel Plans. Effective Travel Plans are vital for a
healthier, greener and safer future as they promote and enable more sustainable and active
modes of travel.
We work with thousands of business, education and community settings across the UK to
improve Travel Plan standards, share best practice and award Modeshift STARS accreditation.
The objectives of the postholder will be to increase the levels of sustainable transport in
business, community and educational settings through the delivery of the STARS programme by
growing the number of organisations taking part in the scheme. Provide a centre of excellence
in sustainable travel best practice delivery to all customers. Grow the reach of Modeshift by
delivering high quality services and forming strong relationships with new and existing
customers.
You will set the strategic direction and vision across the Modeshift STARS National
Portfolio, ensuring alignment with Active Travel England (ATE) funding agreements and other
Modeshift services. Once the outcomes and budgets are agreed for the portfolio, you will be fully accountable for individual delivery plans for each STARS scheme, including
outcomes, cost, activities and reporting. You will be responsible for the quality
standards across the portfolio, improving customer experience and exploring and exploiting new
behaviour change and accreditation ideas and opportunities.
We invite applications from applicants with the following experience :
- Experience of planning and managing a portfolio of customer facing programmes and services
at a senior level - Experience of developing, leading and expanding programmes and schemes
- Significant programme delivery and result focussed experience
- Senior level managerial skills with experience of managing a high performing team of staff
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
- Competent budget and strategy delivery, great at forming relationships, presenting,
reporting and general planning and organising
