The Role

As the Moors for the Future Partnership Manager, you will spearhead our efforts in restoring
and conserving moorland landscapes, playing a pivotal role in combating climate change. You
will lead a dedicated team of conservationists and researchers, driving forward innovative
strategies, community engagement and initiatives to safeguard these vital ecosystems for future
generations. If you are passionate about conservation, driven by a desire to combat climate

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the team is operating in the most effective and efficient way, providing value
    for money, developing and delivering the Moors for the Future Business Plan, Operational Plan
    and budget.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs,
    local communities, and landowners, to ensure the success of restoration efforts.
  • Represent the organisation at conferences, workshops, and other events to share knowledge
    and best practices in moorland restoration and climate change mitigation.

You will have

  • A degree level qualification in an appropriate environment-based subject.
  • Proven experience in managing conservation or environmental restoration projects, with a
    strong understanding of moorland ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards a
    common vision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage
    with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing
    innovative solutions.
  • Commitment to conservation and sustainability, with a passion for protecting and restoring
    natural landscapes.
