Detailed job description and main responsibilities
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work as an independent Practitioner under the supervision of the Senior Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Nurse Practitioner /Lead Nurse or Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP).
You will practice as a core member of the Rapid Investigation Service Team; you will have responsibility for the medical management of a defined patient or client group under guidance of the Consultant and Lead Nurse responsible for the care episode.
You will be expected to undertake all preparatory work prior to the patient undergoing diagnostics which may include consent, request of any further investigations and to highlight any potential complications to the Lead Nurse or medical colleagues.
You will be expected to work as an expert in clinical practice, demonstrate leadership capabilities, contribute to audit and quality improvements and support the education of self and others
Someone who is able to perform at an advanced level within the four broad based competencies of advanced nursing practice:

Improving quality and developing practice;
Developing self and others
You will have excellent, proven, leadership and communication skills.
