Job description

Job Purpose:To oversee the delivery of planned, reactive and small construction works on a new framework within the Edinburgh postcode. Liaise with the field teams to ensure works completed to agreed timescales and budgets whilst complying with company policy and procedure.Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for delivery of all reactive, planned and small works.
  • Assist the management of all field engineers and supervisors to ensure contract KPI’s and SLA’s are achieved;
  • Liaise with the client and other key stakeholders, both internally and externally;
  • Monitor and report on the operational performance of the contract, including delivery of planned and reactive works;
  • Liaise with subcontractors to obtain quotations for reactive tasks and manage sub-contractors working on site;
  • Completion of RAMS and construction phase plans for smaller projects;
  • The management, development and motivation of their team of direct reports including the assessment and monitoring of job performance and where necessary, facilitating the company disciplinary and/or grievance procedure in conjunction with the Human Resources department;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, CBES HSE management systems, procedures or instructions as they apply and to ensure that all direct reports are adequately trained and follow safe systems of work;
  • Capable of implementing and managing change programmes and volume roll outs in a retail environment.
  • Implement and manage multi trades for the above,
  • Produce detailed programmes.
  • Chair Clients meetings and multi trade progress meetings
  • Planning and co-ordinating skills.
  • Experience of Client`s processes on above.
  • Costing and planning small works, including volume roll outs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • CSCS Skill card (Project Manager) & SMSTS;
  • Strong technical understanding with proven track record in commercial building maintenance;
  • Previous experience working across multiple sites;
  • Experience of service delivery in high profile retail environments;
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload;
  • Ability to problem solve on minor and small works projects with good knowledge of multi trade delivery;
  • Excellent communication skills and able to develop and maintain working relationships with clients;
  • Self-motivated, able to work individually or as part of a team;
  • Proficient with MS Office, preferably with knowledge of CAFM software;
  • Full/clean driving licence.
