Apply today for more information.The RoleWe are looking for an Optimization Engineer to work in a multi-disciplined team, working alongside Data Scientists, Developers, Designers and Product Owners, who will own their work from the initial idea to the final implementation. The role will allow for opportunities to work in a variety of areas such as flight operations, ground operations, scheduling, route development, and anything else that you may think of, or that will come your way.Your responsibilities will include:The optimization engineering team goal is automating and optimizing company operations with advanced optimization techniques. It is currently a key team in the company, delivering solutions that are improving decision making in business critical areas. We are looking for someone who likes to face the most challenging problems in mathematical optimization (MIP, CP, min-cost-flow, …) and believes in the transformational power these solutions can bring to the business.RequirementsExperience Required:
- +2 years of experience (or relevant academic experience) working on mathematical optimization projects
- +2 years of experience developing with python or C++
- Skills in at least two of the following:
- mixed integer programming (branch and bound etc.)
- linear programming (simplex method, duality theory, column generation)
- constraint programming
- local search methods
- metaheuristics
- Fluent in English
Plus:
- PhD in Mathematical Optimisation/Research Operations
- Experience in optimisation models with large number of variables and restrictions where scale and performance are a challenge
