The Role and the Department

Reporting to the Oracle Hub Manager, the purpose of this role is to assist in the development, and maintenance of the Oracle HR/Payroll system; its functionalities and interfaces with other systems, and to assist in the review of systems/processes and procedures.

The post holder will also place customer service at the centre of the department activities and focus on the continuous improvement and promotion of the services provided by the Oracle Hub.

The HR&OD team have introduced a hybrid model of working where there is a requirement to work at least three days per week in the office. These days are flexible but the expectation is that the whole team would be in together on these days.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Five GCSE’s at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics or a Post-16 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment delivering front line administrative services to a high standard.
  • Experience of managing time to meet deadlines and working under pressure without compromising on quality.
  • Experience of providing advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues.

    Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Strong digital competence across a range digital devices and apps including Microsoft 365 products (e.g. SharePoint, Power Automate and MS Forms) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Ability to solve problems yourself and as part of a team and resolve issues, plan solutions and make pragmatic decisions.
  • Committed to continuing professional development.
  • Ability to participate in networks to share and discuss good practice and exchange information.

    Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in using and maintaining Oracle HCM/Payroll/Learning or other Oracle Cloud modules.
  • Experience in implementing new IT systems.
  • Experience in requirements gathering to assist in scoping projects.

    Typical Role Requirements

    Service Delivery

    • Provide specialist support and advice to team members on Oracle Systems, including but not limited to Oracle HCM/Payroll/Learning.
