For the Central Team of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C), we are looking for a Parametric & ART Analyst to join our Insurance Department. Reporting to the Head of Technical Excellence, the mission of this role is to lead the development and integration of advanced analytical tools to address climate change risks in the corporate insurance sector. By developing and validating simulation methodologies using global climate models, optimizing parametric triggers and leveraging AI and machine learning, this role will ensure that GC&C remains at the forefront of climate risk modelling and pricing innovation. Additionally, you will partner with IT/Operations teams to build cloud-based platforms that deploy these critical analytical tools, ensuring resilience in the face of climate-related challenges.Main responsibilities:

  • Model Development & Validation: Developing simulation methodologies leveraging global climate models to validate third-party models used for pricing of parametric and indemnity covers
  • Trigger Optimization: Staying at the forefront of remote sensing advancements to optimize climate-related parametric triggers, minimizing basis risk
  • AI & Machine Learning Integration: Exploring the application of Machine Learning and Generative AI in underwriting, claims assessment, and loss prevention
  • Pricing Innovation: Designing structured (re)insurance pricing solutions by integrating GC&C Pricing Tools with advanced simulation techniques
  • Underwriting Collaboration: Working closely with underwriting teams to drive adoption and maximize the effectiveness of analytical tools developed by GC&C
  • Technology & Cloud Solutions: Partner with IT/Operations teams to develop and maintain cloud-based platforms for deploying analytical simulation tools

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • PhD in Physics, Climate Sciences, or a related discipline
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in software engineering
  • International research experience at a top-tier institution
  • Insurance business processes knowledge experience is welcome
  • Ability to build lasting relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be fluent in Italian, English, additional languages are an advantage
