At Group IPR we support the entire GN family: GN Enterprise, GN Gaming, FalCom and GN Hearing. When you become a member of our global Group Corporate Affairs, you align with an international collective of over 60 colleagues who are deeply committed and excel in their professional roles. At our HQ located in Ballerup, Denmark, as our new Patent Attorney, you will report to Senior Manager of Patents, Carl Johan Marckmann.You will be part of a team of 12 skilled and experienced colleagues working in a diverse and exciting global environment. You can expect that no two days are alike, and you will be exposed to many opportunities for both personal-, and professional development.Your contribution is appreciated, and two of your top priorities will be to secure the freedom to operate of our business and to protect our competitive edge by being overall responsible for securing that our current and future innovations are being globally protected through intellectual property rights across our business units.You will follow the patent process from the initial idea generation phase to obtaining the final patent.This means that you will:
- Collaborate closely with our stakeholders – internally and externally – to facilitate idea harvesting with our hearing device business, including conducting prior art searches and ensure that selected solutions are patent protected
- Perform Freedom to Operate analysis, look into competitor patents, assist in competitor monitoring and handle invalidation proceedings
- Draft and prosecute patent applications for the business area – either directly or in collaboration with outside patent attorneys
- Align the patent portfolio with business strategy in collaboration with your colleagues

You are highly self-motivated, team-orientated and approaching projects with a positive mindset.We are open to your level of experience within the field since you can influence your new role, based on your experience and interest. We do, however, believe that to have an impact, you have a technical or scientific background to understand the technical landscape of both existing and new innovations, while at the same time, you possess the ability to explain them to others and you know, how to legally protect them.Moreover, we expect that you bring:
- A degree within Electrical Engineering-, Physics-, or a similar field
- Experience with patents at a highly professional level, including handling patent applications- both nationally and internationally- from private practice, from a corporate function or in a combination
- The ability to work with relevant technical fields, for example, electronically and software implemented inventions
- Fluent in English both in writing and orally
