The candidate will liaise with the P&C head of functional domain to act as a custodian of key assets such as business processes description and business architecture, ensuring these are built and amended when necessary.
The senior project manager will also be responsible for spreading project management knowledge across the organization, ensuring best practices are used across P&C projects liaising with the agile CoE and other group functions for a consistent approach.
Projects management
- Centralize and analyse business expectations/pain points/requirements supporting future growth
- Maintain backlog of prioritized items based on value add with effort and benefits estimates
- Perform impact analysis on existing business processes ensuring changes are properly analyzed
- Review and control functional requirements implementation to deliver quality
- Collaborate with other SCOR teams to drive implementation and adoption of evolutions
- Provide input for test cases and scenarios. Validate executed user test results
- Document and communicate delivered changes and update business processes accordingly
- Follow-up on business applications release management and backlog implementation
- Ensure the applications functional documentation is always up to date
Budget and resources:
- Monitor carefully costs and budget of the projects’ portfolio
- Ensure team resources are invested responsively and effectively
- Propose strategies/changes to help reducing the maintenance projects cost
Methodology
- Identify and implement changes to continually align projects target to SCOR strategy
- Collaborate with data and processing teams to improve the quality and confidence of data
- Provide guidance, feedback, coaching and training to operations on project management topics
- Present and explain technical topics to broad range of stakeholders
- Solve problems proposing, and executing new prototype solutions as needed and/or further rationalization of existing methodologies.

Governance & processes
- Contribute to the maintenance and definition of processes and governance whilst ensuring adherence with legal & regulatory requirements
- Continuously evaluate and enhance processes, tools, and workflow, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization and streamlining to gain efficiency
- Monitor the projects’ operational risks. Provide mitigation actions to prevent key issues. Provide regular communication on those to PC operational risk coordinator
- Accelerate the automation of control process throughout all projects’ developments
Required experience & competencies
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience on different (re)insurance business domains
- Strong knowledge with business applications landscape
- Strong knowledge with project management techniques and tools
- Knowledge of insurance underwriting & technical accounting
Leadership and Managerial Skills
- Proven decision and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with team members and a wide range of stakeholders including senior management
- Ability to coordinate objectives amongst multiple stakeholders
- Ability to oversee multiple operations and projects concurrently

Required Education
- University graduate with relevant insurance professional & project management qualification.
