OUR CXA ANALYTICS TEAM

The CXA Analytics is a global and fast-growing team with seasoned leaders in business intelligence and advanced analytics. Its purpose is to foster a culture of data-driven decisions and bring the outside-in with access to unique and rich-data on market sales including competitors and consumer choices. Our mission is to empower decision makers to make the right strategic choices and the optimal marketing resource allocation as well as execution. This is achieved by building powerful and timely consumption & market share visualizations, quantifying consumption drivers, uplift & ROI, by simulating investment scenarios, and lastly by forecasting future consumption & Sanofi sales.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Performance & Analytics Lead is responsible to bring the full analytics agenda to the global brand teams from business intelligence (sales/share performance & drivers, innovation & competitive intelligence) to advanced analytics (category forecast, A&P modelling, pricing elasticities, …) as well as shaping brand strategies across a long-term horizon considering penetration/loyalty and equity measures. Further, it implies:

Deliver and drive monthly performance reviews (MPRs) with and for global brands by

  • Providing decisive diagnostic and forward-looking insights on holistic brand performance & drivers (media, price, distribution, innovation, competition) to influence decisions in monthly brand reviews and beyond (e.g. bi-annual budget allocation, yearly brand strategy).
  • Visualizing and communicating data driven insights to the global brand team in a simple and intuitive way using PPT or PBI live dashboards.
  • Outline, follow-up and through with business relevant actions in direct collaboration with Global Brand General Managers.

Be the performance voice of global brand teams and establish a performance culture via

  • Being fully proficient to access, analyze and interpret causal drivers data (e.g. distribution, media, finance). Deploy and train global brand teams on analytics capabilities.
  • Acting as guardian and advocate of the global strategic Boost definitions and market classifications.
  • Activating and improving standardized MPR capabilities.

Contribute to unleashing performance analytics systems & data capabilities by

  • Mastering all aspects of analytic agenda e.g. business intelligence & data and advanced analytics in close collaboration with regional and zone Performance & Analytics community.
  • Identifying and ingesting new existing data sources enabling faster & more granular performance understanding.
  • Working with external vendors to industrialize capabilities involving both data ingestion and visuals creation.
  • Contributing to achieving the vision of zero-slide-based performance reviews by igniting game-changing visualization and data-driven business cases to influence / drive decisions.
  • Owning use cases of new BI technologies (such as GenAI) as well as scaling capability upon successful pilot phase.

This role will report directly to the Performance Analytics Business Intelligence & Data Lead

ABOUT YOU

  • Education: Bachelor/Master ‘s degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience: 5+ years’ overall work experience in analytics experience (e.g. Business Intelligence, BOS, Finance, CMI, Growth Performance, Sales Excellence). Experience working with senior leadership a plus.
  • Soft skills: Leadership, business ownership, influence & story-telling, collaboration & agile, technical & business fluency, data-driven culture, rigor, love & curiosity for numbers. 
  • Technical skills: Deep proficiency required in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and PowerBI as well as in handling large data amounts. Knowledge around database management systems (e.g. Snowflake) is a plus.
  • Languages: English, French is a plus.
