Principal Investigator: María Antonia Señarís Rodríguez.CALL DETAILSa) Tasks to perform. The tasks to be performed by the selected candidate are:1) Study of the thermal, caloric and thermal energy storage properties of solid-state thermomaterials.2) Conformation and integration of solid-state thermomaterials in devices and prototypes.3) Analysis of the thermal performance of the thermomaterials under working conditions inside the devices and prototypes.4) Discussion of the obtained results in the context of refrigeration, heating and thermal energy storage.b) Contract length. 12 months and a half, from 16/01/2025 to 31/01/2026.c) Justification of the contract length. It is expected that the duration of the contract will be enough to perform the assigned research tasks compiled in the chronogram of the project memory. Being enrolled in a PhD programme from the Galician University System related with the research activities described in the rectruitmen offer description.Additional InformationEligibility criteriaEvaluation and selection criteria.The selected candidate must be enrolled in a PhD programme from the SUG that is directly related to the contract tasks.The candidate with the highest score attending to the following criteria (with a maximum score of 80 points) will be selected. Non-selected candidates with a minimum mark of 50 points will be included in the waiting list.– Academic degree: Science Bachelor (equivalent to the Spanish Licenciatura or Grado Universitario) in Chemistry, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, or Materials Science = 15 points. Other degrees = 0 points.– Master in research in the areas of Chemistry, Nanoscience and nanotechnology, or Materials Science = 10 points.– Experience in the research field related to the study of barocaloric materials and materials for thermal and/or electric energy storage for cooling, heating, and/or energy storage applications, demonstrated through ScB Thesis (equivalent to Spanish TFG), ScM Thesis (equivalent to Spanish TFM), and research articles: 5 points for ScB Thesis, 10 points for ScM Thesis, 10 points per research article. Maximum = 25 points.– Demonstrated experience in the use of variable-pressure differential scanning calorimetry and thermometry equipment. Experience of at least 1 year = 5 points. Less than 1 year = 0 points.– Demonstrated experience in the use of conformation and 3D printing techniques. Experience of at least 1 year = 5 points.
