Lead the Hempel Portfolio Management journey to deliver on our Double Impact StrategyHempel has recently kicked off an ambitious growth and sustainability strategy. This job gives you the opportunity to become an important part of our journey.We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager to join the Product Portfolio & Assortment team. You will lead, further develop and drive Hempel Portfolio Management and be the owner of our New Product Development (NPD) process.Drive alignment of our NPD portfolio to our growth and sustainability strategyOur new strategy will see us double our business by 2025, while aiming for segment and sustainability leadership. As the Hempel Portfolio Manager, you will drive our efforts within Portfolio Management ensuring the needed transparency, so that we will strike the right balance in our New Product Development (NPD) efforts and maximize the value of our NPD portfolio.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, further develop and implement Hempel Portfolio Management
  • Continuously advance Portfolio reporting via our Data Analyst
  • Plan, execute and ensure reporting of Portfolio Board meetings
  • Own Hempel’s Stage Gate process for NPD projects
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the stage gate process
  • Ensure introduction of new employees to Portfolio Management and Stage gate process

We are looking for a strong candidate with solid experience within Portfolio ManagementWe expect you to have at least 3 years’ experience as Portfolio Manager, preferably from an international matrix organization, and with a proven track record of delivering results. This includes experience with:

  • Development and implementation of Portfolio Management
  • Portfolio overviews and reporting
  • Portfolio Management systems
  • Resource allocation processes
  • Facilitation of Portfolio Board meetings
  • New Product Development Stage Gate processes

Furthermore the ideal candidate has:

  • Business acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to be both ambitious and pragmatic
  • Ability and desire to operate at both strategic/conceptual and detailed level

Leading Portfolio Management in HempelProduct Portfolio & Assortment is a recent merge of Portfolio- and Assortment Management. We are based in our new headquarters in Kgs. Lyngby.
