In addition, the employee will be involved in organizational activities for the Faculty and the University.REQUIREMENTS:The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:

  • meet the condition of having no criminal record for crimes specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Art. 189a and art. 207 of the Penal Code and the Act of July 29, 2005 on counteracting drug addiction (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for prohibited acts corresponding to these crimes specified in the provisions of foreign law;
  • Ph.D. degree in biological or medical sciences obtained no earlier than 7 years before employment at the University of Lodz;
  • Ph.D. degree have to be obtained from Institution other than the University of Lodz or completed at least 10 months of continuous and documented postdoctoral training in Institution other than the University of Lodz and in a country other than the country in which the Ph.D. degree was obtained;
  • knowledge of immunology and the immune response in gastrointestinal tract and gastrointestinal cancers;
  • experience in laboratory work and especially knowledge of techniques in the field of molecular biology including methods such as real-time PCR, Western blot, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, multiplex,
  • experience in cell cultures;
  • ability to analyze data using mathematical and statistical tools;
  • experience as a grant manager or contractor in the implementation of research projects financed with the funds obtained in national or international competitions;
  • good knowledge of English.

ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:

  • experience in isolation and culture of primary immune cells,
  • experience in work with laboratory animals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • conducting and participating in scientific research and development work according to the project’s research program;
  • dissemination of scientific results and development of research by publishing in prestigious scientific journals included in the Journal Citation Reports list;
  • dissemination of research results at national and international conferences;
  • other organizational duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
