Job Title: Post Doc_ Circadian Metabolism LabA Postdoctoral fellow position is available, starting from March 2025, in the “Circadian Metabolism Lab” leaded by Dr. Carolina Greco at . The Humanitas Reseach Center is a state-of-the-art research facility located in Milano, Italy. It employs about 300 scientists who develop distinct projects aimed at dissecting mechanisms underlying biological processes relevant to human health and disease. In more than 30 laboratories, processes involved in normal and pathological immune responses, cancer development, neurological and cardiovascular disorders are investigated. The Humanitas Research Center operates in close proximity with the neighboring Humanitas Hospital, allowing for cutting-edge translational projects. More information about the Lab can be found here: .About the projectThe position is funded through a recently awarded ERC Starting Grant that will explore mechanisms of interorgan communication in cardiovascular disease. The project will combine multi-disciplinary approaches, integrating metabolic and cardiac phenotyping of mouse models of heart failure with various omics approaches (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, metabolomics). An in vivo proteomic approach will be used to identify cardiomyocyte secreted proteins capable of regulating whole-body metabolism.Who we are looking forWe are seeking a candidate with a PhD in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or related disciplines, possessing expertise in metabolic research and molecular biology. Strong publication record in related fields is required. Research experience with circadian rhythms is a plus. The candidate should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively and have a collaborative spirit.
