Knowledge of proteolysis methods required. Identification of potential health benefits using in silico approaches and validation of identified bioactivities using in vitro methods forms another KPI of the Peptidome project. Particular targets of in vitro methods include inflammation, heart health and antimicrobial activities as well as nutritional and compositional characterisation work. Collation of research data accurately and formulation of information for input into reports for industry partners. Background:The position will be located within Food BioSciences at Teagasc Food Research Centre, Ashtown and will involve travel to industry partner facilities (Killybegs, Co. Donegal) from time-to-timeThe Teagasc post-doctoral programme provides training and development opportunities for early career scientists that enhances their experience of learning and equips them with the necessary skills for the next stage of their chosen career in research.
