Vacancy ID : 028461 Closing Date : 31-May-2024The Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER) at Maynooth University, Ireland is seeking to recruit two postdoctoral researchers to work on a prestigious new EU Horizon ocean energy project.The projects exist within a wider COER group of over 30 researchers, who work on a variety of fundamental and applied projects related to ocean energy. The group has significant expertise in hydrodynamic modelling, control and estimator design and also in forecasting techniques. It is anticipated that the recruited postdocs will tap into this significant body of expertise and experience, also having access to the broad set of national and international COER collaborators, both from the industrial and academic communities.This post presents significant opportunities for career development in relation to sourcing of independent research funding, research management and supervision; mentoring in these aspects will be provided.Postdoctoral Researcher (2024) Salary Scale: €43,908 – €50,302 (6 points)Senior Post Doctoral Researcher (2024) Salary Scale: €51,677 (1 point, with increment)Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.Closing Date:23:30hrs (local Irish time) on Friday 31st May 2024Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified above.
