Job description
Offer DescriptionCork University Business School is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with strong qualitative & quantitative research and project management skills to work on the project WISESHIFT. WISESHIFT is a HORIZON Europe project that explores how a subset of the social economy, Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs), can drive inclusive and sustainable transitions across Europe. By connecting science, practice, and policy we aim to develop actionable strategies, evidence-based tools and policy recommendations to support WISEs and the wider social economy. The project brings together 13 partners from 8 countries. The appointee will be required to support a range of tasks on the project, under the direction of the Principal Investigator Professor Mary O’Shaughnessy.Key tasks will be to conduct, and manage, 24 in depth case studies of WISEs and their local ecosystems through a multistakeholder approach to provide embedded and in-depth evidence that will serve as the base for a transversal analysis. This will include an analysis of the data gathered and produce reports for each case study that reflects the role of WISEs and their local ecosystems towards inclusive and sustainable transitions. This will involve consultation with consortium partners and other stakeholders on case study and survey design, preparation of the protocol and related research instruments, preparing the application for ethical approval, dissemination, analysis of findings and drafting of working papers and other outputs. Applicants must have proven experience of case study design and analysis and must demonstrate relevant skills, including qualitative data and statistical analysis. The completion of work tasks to a high standard within prescribed time frames will be critical to the success of the project.Achievement of the expected progression within Post Doc and Senior Post Doc is transferable between the Irish HEI’s. This can be reflected in the starting pay of a PD researcher. Similarly, as the PD scheme is an intergenerational training scheme completion of PD1 or PD 2 levels in one HEI will normally render that researcher ineligible for appointment at a similar level in another Irish HEI nProject Title: WISESHIFTWhere to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsThe primary focus of the Postdoctoral Researcher will be research however a particular emphasis during this stage should include:
