based on full-time€ 4,060 – € 4,277Deadline9 Jun 2025Adolescents and young adults (AYA) oncological patients (with cancer or cancer survivors) are in a unique phase of their life, with special needs and challenges, distinct from their younger and older counterparts. AYA patients form unique personal identities, establish careers, and build relationships. The present project aims to build and test in a Multicentric approach, a digital architecture to support a “personalised digital follow-up environment”. This is based on data integrated from wearable sensors, and processed by AI tools to support AYA patients in their journey to recovery.This position is part of the European Union Project LATE-AYA, and you will collaborate within a large multinational network to define the requirements of this digital architecture. Then this project is perfect for you!We are looking for a motivated, steadfast, innovative and open-minded postdoc researcher who can work in a diverse environment of clinicians, sensor developers, experts, and patients to drive the processes required for successful hardware and software integration. You should be ready to travel regularly around Europe for project meetings and communicate successfully with stakeholders.You will gain experience in project management, supervision, and grounded work (may include biosensor integration) under the direct supervision of Dr Simone Borsci and Dr Russell Chan.Your profileYou must have a PhD in Human factors, psychology, human system interactions or similar disciplines.You have experience on:– Project management and organization in complex setting– Functional and non-functional requirements definition and Co-creation activities;– Focus groups and interview techniques;– Systematic analysis of literature and data– You are aware of the process of preparing and submitting articlesIt is an advantage:– Demonstrated experience in systematic review research is a plus but not necessary.– If you have experience in the health or healthcare systems and the medical device domain– If you are familiar with the process of supporting the design and testing of point of care and medical technology– You are an excellent team-player and are excited about working with scientists and practitioners from different backgrounds.– Willingness to participate in educational activities.You have an excellent written and spoken command of English, as demonstrated by academic publications and presentations at international conferencesOur offerWe offer a start date as soon as possible and no later than the 1st of September.We encourage high responsibility and independence, while collaborating with colleagues, researchers, other university staff and partners. We follow the terms of employment by the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Universities (CAO). Our offer contains: a 20 month fulltime (parttime over an extended timeframe may be possible) postdoctoral position (0.84 FTE) with mentorship in a stimulating research environment with excellent facilities to promote a good work-life balance. It also includes:

• Your starting salary will be € 4060,- or € 4277,- gross per month (scale 10) depending on your experience;
• Excellent benefits including a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary, an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%
