This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a research project focused on the in vitro selection of RNA-based therapeutics for targeting and inhibiting viruses, particularly Influenza A.The position is available from July 1st 2025 or as soon as possible hereafter.Expected start date and duration of employment This is a 1-year postdoc position, with the possibility of extension, starting from 1 July 2025 or as soon possible.Job description You are expected to contribute to a collaborative project focused on developing chemically modified RNAs targeting Influenza through in vitro selection (SELEX) methods. Binding and viral inhibition will be evaluated using biophysical techniques (such as SPR and BLI) and cell-based assays. Additionally, the structural determination of the complexes will be performed using cryo-Electron Microscopy (cryo-EM) in collaboration with structural biologists. This project is part of an international and interdisciplinary collaboration involving scientists in chemical biology, polymer chemistry, infectious diseases, and virology.Your profile Applicants should hold a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, nanoscience, nanotechnology, or medicinal chemistry and have experience with RNA and/or nucleic acid nanotechnology.
