Job Description:DTU Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark seeks a highly motivated postdoc for the pre-commercial startup Reformable, which is an innovation project dealing with CO2 reforming funded by the Villum Power-to-X Accelerator program ( ). The postdoc is fully funded over two-year period.Are you ready to take on the grand challenges using all your skills and competencies in your chemist toolbox, then consider joining Reformable at DTU. Reformable is a pre-commercial startup that develops new catalyst technologies for upgrading biogas into sustainable fuels and chemicals.You will join a highly motivated and ambitious team with a great passion for bringing science, deep tech, and innovation into real-life solutions.Reformable expects to spin out from DTU at the end of the two-year project. Therefore, we are searching for individuals who want to join our start-up adventure with a focus on technical development and commercialization.Responsibilities, tasks, and qualifications
You will become responsible for the continued development of our patented reforming catalyst technology. Your primary tasks will be to:
- Synthesis of catalyst materials
- Optimization of materials, high-throughput testing, and systemized catalyst test campaigns
- Data analysis and assessment of performance
- Upscaling and extrusion of catalyst
Therefore, we are looking for a colleague with a strong background in chemistry, material science or catalysis, and a can-do attitude to overcome the hurdles that may arise.Qualifications and skills:
- Strong background in chemistry, material science, or catalysis
- Laboratory experience with material synthesis and characterization
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of acquiring the skill and knowledge necessary to achieve objective goals
- Ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills
- Preferably, previous experience in a start-up environment
You are highly motivated, proactive, curious, and a fast learner with a can-do attitude. Hopefully, at the end of the two year period, Reformable will spin out from DTU with exciting new job opportunities.As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or withing another relevant field.We offer

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
