A postdoctoral position opportunity is open at the dynamic new immune-oncology lab of Translocon Biotechnologies PLC in Budapest, Hungary. Our goal is to develop innovative new tools for immune-oncology and, by the use of mononuclear peripheral blood and bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells as model systems, novel solutions for difficult-to-treat infections and neuroinflammatory conditions.

We are running distinct projects targeting various fields of human medicine including immune-oncology, infections as well as neuroinflammatory conditions. This position primarily delves into the fascinating role of antigen presenting cells in cell-based immune-oncology exploring their use in cancer and beyond.Our goal is to develop innovative new tools for immune-oncology and, by the use of mononuclear peripheral blood and bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells as model systems, novel solutions for difficult-to-treat infections and neuroinflammatory conditions., You are a scientific professional with a passion for science and deep scientific knowledge. You have a marked curiosity willing to collaborate to solve critical scientific challenges, a driven, enthusiastic scientist ready to grow in a dynamic research environment.Qualifications: Advanced scientific degree at the doctoral level (MD, PhD, PharmD, or DNP)
Effective communication: Communicates concisely, confidently, and credibly. Easily understands other points of views and responds appropriately. Listens with empathy to respond to current and future needs and adjust the communication according to the audience.
Digital potential: Comfortable using and experimenting with technology. Embraces and optimally utilizes new tools and systems. Demonstrates a willingness and aptitude to learn if not yet well versed.

Hands-on subject matter expertise in gene editing and/or proteomics and/or recombinant DNA technologies are strongly preferred., We are particularly seeking postdoc candidates who have recently completed their doctoral degree with a background in innate immunity and/or cancer research. Female scientists are especially encouraged to apply, and disabled applicants will be given preferential consideration if their qualifications are equivalent.
Postdoc salary according to local salary schemes. Entry level and progression is negotiable and adjusted on the basis of your experience. The ideal candidate will be recruited by summer 2025.
