About the Role
Applications are invited for a motivated and committed Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) with rich experience/knowledge. The position is funded for one year by the Barts Charity within Clinical Pharmacology and Biochemical Pharmacology. The project aims to develop novel antibody tools to an orphan G-protein coupled receptor that has a role in determining cardiac excitability. The position holder will undertake research investigations in collaboration with and under the supervision of the line managers in order to realise the objectives and development of the research projects/programme, with the main duties and responsibilities as described in the Job Pack.
About You
The successful candidate will be expected to have a PhD degree in molecular/cell biology, or a related biological sciences discipline, with good experience in molecular cell biology
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
Within the Centre for Clinical Pharmacology & Precision Medicine, the group study ion channels within the cardiovascular system and their role in cardiac arrhythmia. Within Biochemical Pharmacology the team implements novel antibody technologies in a number of biological areas.

It is full time fixed term appointment for one year with an expected start date of December 2023. The starting salary will be up to Grade 4 between £40,223 – £42,405 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
