Job description
VHIR is seeking a vacant position for a Postdoctoral researcher in the Group of Biomedical Research in Gynecology to develop a project in translational research in the area of diagnosis of endometrial cancer and endometriosis using proteomics in complex human fluids.More information about our group:Education and qualifications:Required:
- PhD in Biology, or similar scientific discipline
- Fluency in English
- First author on publications
- Passionate, proactive, willing to learn and committed
Experience and knowledge:Required:
- Previous experience in a translational research group.
- Experience in mass spectrometry and immunoassay, including experimental work and data analysis.
Desired:
- Previous experience with handling of complex human samples
- Previous postdoc experience
- Proficiency in manuscript drafting
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Participate in translational research projects to improve endometrial cancer and endometriosis diagnosis through biomarker research.
- Collaborate with other projects of the group, by promoting fruitful discussions or by helping in experimental work.
- Participate in general activities of the group.
- Support the principal investigator in managerial activities.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: We can adapt to the candidate’s situation
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
