Job description
Education and qualifications:Required:
- PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, in Biomedicine, or similar
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)
Desired:
- Animal Experimentation Course
Experience and knowledge:Required:
- Experience (minimum 5 years) in production and purification of recombinant AAV vectors
- Experience (minimum 5 years) in in vivo animal experimentation: virus administration to rodents
- Experience (minimum 5 years) in in vivo animal experimentation: behavioral and memory tests
- Experience (minimum 5 years) in Maxipreps and minipreps as well as in other molecular biology techniques.
- Experience (minimum 5 years) in cell culture and cell manipulation of human cells.
Desired:
- Experience (minimum 1 year) in working with chronokines
- Experience (minimum 1 year) in working with osteoporosis
- Fluency in English
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Design, perform, and interpret in vitro and in vivo experiments with viral vectors carrying chronokines
- Write documents, reports and grants
- Present and defend the results obtained in national and international scientific meetings
- Coordinate/Manage the laboratory techinicians, PhD students Master students working in the osteoporosis program from our group
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40hours/week.
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 38.500 euros /// (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
