Offer DescriptionThe postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for synthesizing new extractant molecules for the selective extraction of lithium from brines. They will formulate a liquid-liquid extraction solvent and study its physicochemical properties. Based on these physicochemical data, the postdoctoral researcher will acquire information on the selected extraction solvent in order to design a process scheme for extracting lithium from brines.Organic synthesis

Writing reports and articlesThe postdoctoral researcher will work in two laboratories at the University of Lorraine located a few kilometers apart: the GeoRessources laboratory for the hydrometallurgy part and the LRGP laboratory for the organic synthesis part. All necessary equipment for synthesis, characterization of extractant molecules, and process scheme design will be provided.
