- You will conduct postdoctoral research into the reception history of Callirhoe in the first millennium CE across a range of literary genres.
- You will disseminate your research in top-tier journals and international conferences.
- You will aim to produce a monograph compiling your research.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a PhD degree in ancient Greek literature, with particular preference for the ancient Greek novel.
- You have experience researching the reception of the Greek novel and (concepts of) fiction.
- Additional expertise in some or all of the fields covered by this project (imperial epic, epistolography, and hagiography) is desirable.
- You have a proven track-record of publishing in top-tier journals and with highly-ranked presses.
- You are an independent scholar who likes teamwork.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration.
- Your contract will start on 1/02/2025 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1 to PD4.
