The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Postgraduate Pharmacy Dean to lead the Northern Ireland Centre for Postgraduate Learning and Development (NCPLD), working in close association with the Department of Health (NI).

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of overall strategy, developing and transforming the pharmacy workforce through structured pathways and implementing educational reform in line with the requirements of regulatory bodies.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria: 

  • Undergraduate degree in pharmacy.
  • Higher degree or relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
  • Extensive professional experience, including significant involvement in the delivery of pharmacy education programmes.
  • Demonstrate clear evidence of success in career to date.
  • Demonstrable experience in leadership and management of staff working in teams.
  • Significant experience in project management and financial management.
  • Evidence of a broad knowledge of all areas of current pharmacy practice.
