ISSProject Building Services EngineerLocation: LondonHours of work: 38.6Contract Type: PermanentWe are seeking a Building Services Engineer to join our on-site team, supporting the maintenance operations of one of the largest shopping centre clients in Europe.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile environment with a client that actively supports upskilling and personal development.Job DescriptionReporting to the Technical Services Manager, you’ll carry out a range of general building maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, and fabric disciplines as part of a small, multi-skilled team.The role also includes participation in the on-call rota to ensure 24/7 support.ISS is committed to investing in its people, with structured training and development plans tailored to help you progress in your career.If you’re looking to build your expertise within a supportive and dynamic environment, this could be the perfect fit.Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and
  • Reactive maintenance across the Westfield contract, supporting team members as required.
  • Carry out PPM tasks on electrical and mechanical systems including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, pumps, and control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults quickly to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and service electrical assets such as wiring, lighting, and distribution boards, and mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, and air-handling units.
  • Complete maintenance and repair records, estimate materials and time required, and order necessary supplies.
  • Ensure work is carried out to industry standards and in compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
  • Provide detailed job reports and liaise with management to ensure effective service delivery and suggest improvements.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Proven experience working across multiple sites within Facilities Management.
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team to complete tasks.
  • Demonstrable experience in carrying out both PPM and Reactive maintenance.
  • Electrically qualified – 18th Edition and NVQ or City & Guilds in Electrical Installations.
  • Mechanical qualifications also considered – NVQ or City &
  • Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or Heating & Ventilation.
  • Additional certifications such as IOSH, IPAF or PASMA are desirable.
