Job description

As a Practice Group Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in the smooth day-to-day operations of a legal practice group. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and managing client files
  • Creating and editing PowerPoint presentations
  • Coordinating travel arrangements (flights, trains, hotel bookings)
  • Assisting with legal directory submissions (e.g., Chambers & Partners, Legal 500)
  • Managing calendars and scheduling appointments
  • Handling incoming calls and liaising with clients and external legal services
  • Preparing and proofreading invoices before submission to billing
  • Organizing internal and external seminars and events

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Office Management, Paralegal Studies, Law, Translation, or a related field
  • A few years of relevant experience in a legal, corporate, or executive assistant role
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word (Track Changes, Cross-References), PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Native Dutch or French speaker with an excellent command of the other national language and English
  • A proactive mindset: you’re flexible, communicative, punctual, and solution-focused
  • A natural team player who also thrives when working independently
  • Positive, resilient, and eager to contribute
