THE ROLE

As a Pre-Contract Project Manager, you act as the link between the Group and the shipyards for our New Build requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and ensure a “pre-tender” long term relationship with main New buildings actors and/or partners
  • Develop and maintaining Outline Specification of specific type of Containerships in partnership with several shipyards 
  • You keep track of potentials costs and delivery slots with the concerned shipyards
  • Maintain and develop shipyards pre-project audits
  • Develop a price estimation tool for Newbuilding vessels and maintain the database of quotation and market information
  • Participate in the establishment of NB standard together with Design Improvement Office
  • Ensure market intelligence of main competitors’ order book.

  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

  • Master’s degree in engineering or graduated from the merchant shipping school
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a technical role in the naval industry, with knowledge of vessel construction
  • Fluent English, speaking French is highly recommended
  • Experience with Asian shipyards is appreciated
  • Ability to step back and built a long term vision, analytical skills, results oriented
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills, multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment
