At CX BI, we are building the next generation Oracle’s customer success management system, a pure internet system and supporting
data lake. Cloud Solutions team is looking for an ambitious, talented, energetic, and self-motivated Principal DevOps Engineer.In this role you will be immersed in and exposed to complex systems and their integration as Oracle cloud subscription data travels to
multiple systems from its inception.You will be part of this world class engineering team from day one and should be capable of building the entire technical stack, right
from infrastructure to the end services which is highly scalable and efficient in all possible aspects.Requirements:
- Having 5+ years of experience in DevOps Cloud native like AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI (preferred) including cloud infrastructure and networking design, implementation, and maintenance
- Ability to learn, experiment, design and implement independently from/based on sources in English
- Ability to collaborate in English within Oracle with team members and other Oracle professionals
- Knowledge of agile working practices (Scrum, Kanban)
- Knowledge of DevOps best practices related cloud native application deployment and operations
- Hands-on experience in Linux systems and tooling, git
- Familiar with one of the IaC technologies: Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Puppet (Terraform/Ansible is a big plus).
- Hands-on experience in tools and languages like: Python, SQL (Oracle), Bash, JQ is a big plus.
- Hands-on experience in container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes from operational perspective is a big plus.
- Hands-on experience in relational (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL (e.g., Elastic Search) database administration and maintenance is a plus.
Career Level – IC4Responsibilities:What you will be doing:
- Being part of a DevSecOps team, which develop and operate a cloud native solution.
- Collaborate with other professionals to figure out efficient software operations processes.
- Communicating with OCI Product Development teams in case of support or issue cases
- Getting certified in OCI infrastructure and security (associate and professional level)
- Designing and building DevOps capabilities on the top of OCI including environment creation (in both manual and automatic ways)
- Performing network configuration and administration (routes, seclists, etc.)
- Performing daily operational tasks, and participating in regular security patching process
- Improving existing code quality
- Troubleshooting various infrastructure issues in test and prod environments
- Supporting development teams in technical issues and testing
- Enhancing existing monitoring and notification functions to be able to address possible issues proactively.
- Working with Technologies and tools like: Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python, JQ, Oracle SQL CL, Docker, Kubernetes, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS), Git, Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus and many more.
